【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansforcomparingtherelativeshrinkageorexpansionofcementitiousmixtures.Itisparticularlyapplicabletogrouting,patching,andform-fillingoperationswheretheobjectiveistocompletelyfillacavityorotherdefinedspacewithafreshlymixedcementitiousmixturethatwillcontinuetofillthesamespaceattimeofhardening.Itwouldbeappropriatetousethistestmethodasabasisforprescribingmixtureshavingrestrictedorspecifiedvolumechangebeforethemixturebecomeshard.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforresearchpurposestoprovideinformationonvolumechangestakingplaceincementitiousmixturesbetweenthetimejustaftermixingandthetimeofhardening.However,thespecimenusedinthistestmethodisnotcompletelyunrestrainedsothatthemeasurementsareprimarilyusefulforcomparativepurposesratherthanasabsolutevalues.Further,thedegreeofrestrainttowhichthespecimenissubjectedvarieswiththeviscosityanddegreeofhardeningofthemixture.
