【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardgivesguidanceonmethodsforhandling,inactivatingandtestingofwastecontainingorganismsarisingfrombiotechnologylaboratoryactivitiesandprocesses.Itisconcernedwithmethodstoreducetherisksarisingfromexposuretowastederivedfromlaboratory-scaleactivitieswhichcontainsorganismshazardousorpotentiallyhazardoustohumans,animals,plantsortheenvironment.Suchwastemayincludeorganismswhetherassolid,liquidorgaseousby-productsoreffluent,togetherwithitemsorequipmentrequiredtobedisposedofandwhichmaybecontaminatedwithorganisms.Wastesmaybegeneratedbybiotechnology,clinical,molecularbiology,microbiologyandotherlaboratoriesinactivitieswhereorganismsarehandled,geneticallymodifiedorganismsarecreatedorusedorbylaboratoryprocessesinvolvingmaterialofhuman,animalorplantorigin.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytoothertypesofwasteorwastefromhumanhealthcareorothermedicaltreatmentactivities.
