【摘要】:Thispracticeaddressesperformancecharacteristicsforgreenroofsystemswithrespecttothedeadloadandtransientwaterliveloadoftheentiresystem.Determiningtheseperformancecharacteristicsofgreenroofsystemsprovidesinformationtofacilitatetheassessmentofrelatedengineeringaspectsofthefacility.Suchaspectsmayincludestructuraldesignrequirements,mechanicalengineeringandthermaldesignrequirements,andfireandlifesafetyrequirements.Determiningtheseperformancecharacteristicsofgreenroofsystemsprovidesinformationtofacilitateassessmentoftheperformanceofonegreenroofsystemrelativetoanother.1.1Thispracticecoversastandardizedprocedureforpredictingthesystemweightofagreenroofsystem.1.2Theprocedureaddressestheloadsassociatedwithgreenroofsystems.Componentsthataretypicallyencounteredingreenroofsystemsinclude:membranes,non-absorptiveplasticsheetcomponents,metalliclayers,fabrics,geocompositedrainlayers,syntheticreinforcinglayers,cover/recoverboards,insulationmaterials,growthmedia,granulardrainagemedia,andplantmaterials.1.3Thisprocedurealsoaddressestheweightofthegreenroofsystemundertwoconditions:(1)weightunderdrainedconditionsafternewwateradditionsbyrainfallorirrigationhaveceased(thisincludestheweightofretainedwaterandcapturedwater),and(2)weightwhenrainfallorirrigationisactivelyoccurringandthedrainagelayeriscompletelyfilledwithwater.Thefirstconditionisconsideredthedeadloadofthegreenroofsystem.Thedifferenceinweightbetweenthefirstandsecondconditions,approximatedbytheweightoftransientwaterinthedrainagelayer,isconsideredaliveload.1.4Thisproceduredoesnotaddresspointorlineloadsassociatedwitharchitecturalelementsthatarenotessentialcomponentsofaparticulargreenroofsystem.Thesearchitecturalelementsmayincludepavement,walls,andmasonry,andsoforth.1.5Thisproceduredoesnotaddressliveloadsassociatedwithconstructionactivities.1.6Thisproceduredoesnotaddressliveloadsassociatedwithsnoworwind.1.7Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
